OUR NAME
Where our name comes from
The name CARU is derived from the old English word “Karo” and evolved into the word “Care” to include the idea of providing, protecting and caring for someone or something with affection and attention. The Welch use “Caru” to express affection and strong emotional bonds between family and friends.

The leather and metal plate is individually cut by hand, and every item is uniquely constructed, resulting in a genuine piece that embodies authentic South African design.
